White
The white colour must be as pure as possible, without looking matte. Common faults are: Yellow hue, gray stains, incorrectly coloured feathers.
Whites are occasionally seen at shows in the Netherlands.
Genetically there are two types of white: The dominant and the recessive one. The Leghorn white is dominant. Even when mated to black Leghorns, white Leghorns will produce more whites. Should these be mated to each other, the resulting birds will be 25% black and 75% white. One third of these white specimens will be homozygous.
